Pukehina Ratepayers and Residents Association

Introducing the PRRA

The Pukehina Residents and Ratepayers Association (PRRA) is an incorporated society that aims to provide a forum for discussion on local issues, and to represent and promote the views and aspirations of Pukehina residents and ratepayers to relevant authorities.

  • We're helping to develop a safe and friendly community, with excellent facilities for everyone to enjoy

  • We're helping to restore and take care of the natural environment

  • When issues arise that affect the Pukehina community, we consult with members and represent communities views.

We work with Western Bay Of Plenty District Council (WBOPDC), DOC, Bay of Plenty Regional Council (BOPRC) and Ngāti Whakahemo, with regards to environment and planning matters that affect Pukehina.

We're passionate about this beautiful place and are doing our best for our community.

Pukehina Development Fund - project opportunities

Following community feedback during the 2025 Annual Plan consultation, Western Bay of Plenty District Council (WBOPDC) made the decision to stop and repurpose the Pukehina Development Fund (PDF) to support existing community projects in the Pukehina area.

What’s happening now?

The Pukehina Residents and Ratepayers Association (PRRA), with support from WBOPDC, is leading the next phase of community consultation. We’re inviting your input on how the PDF should be distributed among a range of existing community projects - identified through long-term planning and previous community kōrero.

Our goal is to make sure the fund is used in a way that brings real benefits - both for you and for the whole community.

Look out for the Project Booklet being mailed out to ratepayers in the targeted rate area - Pukehina Parade, Costello Cresent and Gardiner Place.

We're having a community open afternoon 31st May at the Community Hall so come along between 1pm -3pm to find out more about the projects we have an opportunity to support.

Our website has some great info so check out the Our Projects page
