Our Projects
Our main areas of focus are in the spaces of Coast Care, Estuary Care, Parks and Reserves, Infrastructure, Communications, Safety & Security. In each of these areas there are a number of different projects taking place.

What we are working on
Pukehina Development Fund - project development and next steps
Thanks to all those who attended the Community Hall event in 2025 and sent in your feedback on the proposed allocation of funds from the Pukehina Development Fund. Key themes from the consultation showed strong support for paying off our Hall Loan, building the Walkway/Cycleway and a pump track at Midway Park and support for our community organisations and the facilities they manage. Pukehina Community Centre/HallThe Hall is now reopened! A great community facility for recreation, exercise, markets and events!
Walkway/CyclewayWe've cleaned up the estuary frontage at Ororoa Reserve/Boat ramp & are ready to build the wooden walkway so we can all enjoy the recreational opportunities in all tides!
Restoring Te Waihī estuarySupporting Te Wahapū o Waihi and Wai Kōkopu to revitilise the estuary.
